Hi Since I'm in the position of having to restore Windows 8 in order to update to Windows 10 outside the Insider Program I'm thinking about just getting a 250 Gig SSD and restoring my factory computer image file to it. Windows 7 Windows 7 - System Images use up to 30% of Backup Disk?
I have created and stored a system image using the Windows 7 imaging capability and successfully restored a disk several times. They state that older images will be deleted once you use 30% of the backup disk space. Has anyone seen that 30% figure in practice? I have never seen more than one...- Ken7

Windows 8 recovery drive not seeming to be recognized
My Acer Aspire A7600U-UR24 came with windows 8. I made a recovery drive by choosing "create recovery drive" in windows 8. After making the drive i installed windows 8.1 from DVD.
