Every program I run from file manager to q-dir is sorting windows folder by weeks. I have to manually go to view and then select group by none. Whenever I enter the new folder I have to start the entire process all over again.

I'll try to explain this as well as I can. I save a lot of folders on my desktop. For the most part they are sorted alphabetically, from A to Z, with no problem.

In all previous Windows I have been able to move the games icons around to put the most frequently played games first. I haven't found a way to do this in Windows 7. You are obliged to sort in some logical order such as file name, date, size etc. Have I missed something?

I was able to successfully save the sort order in windows file explorer by date....however, when i go into Excel and click on the open dialogue box it always reverts back to sorting by file name. Can anyone help here?
