Are the Samsung Evo SSD 500GB 860 and the 870 interchangeable so I can just swap them out without conflict?
I could either format the new or create a new simple volume, or better yet recover a Macrium image?
TY
Everything was going well until about a month ago when for some reason it decided to start freezing...kernel power issue, so I tried a clean boot and that hasn't worked and nor has running in safe mode. I'm running win 7 64bit ultimate, motherboard Gigabyte GA 990FX UD5, GTX 750i gpu, 4 sticks...
Hello
I'd like to save an image of Windows 8 onto a second partition using Clonezilla, and have a couple of questions before proceeding:
1. Why does W8 create two partitions (350MB and 147.3GB) instead of just one?
2. When running fdisk in Linux, why does it display so many /dev/ramX...

I am trying to use raw disk for my Virtual Box. The only problem is that I don't know how to map vbox numbering of partition to that of windows. So basically I don't know which one's which.
I have two hdds, one with a full partition, the other with two windows partitions, a 100MB...
I have an SSD OCZ Vertex 2, and 2 more HDD's.
For Mozilla Firefox i changed the browser cache to D partition, which is an HDD, same for swap / virtual memory.
I read so many stories about this. Some people said to keep it on the C, some said to move it on HDD.
Would you tell me, please, which...

Okay...I've seen several tutorials/info on dual booting, but usually it's only one hard drive. What I want to do is install 2 OS on 2 different HDDs.
My first idea was to install Debian and Win7 on the same 500GB HDD (which is now my secondary hard drive). But since then, I had taken it to the...

Hello,
I run Windows 7 for at least 4 weeks and I never had problems with it, so I decided to remove the now unneeded XP Partition.
My Problem is that after this Windows 7 refused to boot.
I suppose that either the Windows Bootmanager was on the XP Partition I removed.
My Partition Table...

I took what was my old system (K8NHA Grand nForce 3 250Gb mobo, Athlon 64 3400+ w/2Gb ram) and put together a system for my fiance to use up in our exercise/music room. Decided to try Vista x64 on it and it installed and runs fine. The odd thing is Vista shows the system as having 4Gb of memory...
Hey guys, I've got a quick question for all you experts out there. Although I have lots of experience with computers in general, I've hardly ever used Windows Vista before, and I've already completely destroyed it twice in the 48 hours I've had it. Long story, don't ask, resulted in me staying...
