So I updated the to the newest update tonight, automatic update.
I've experienced trouble with my cursor, it keeps loading as if I have a program running in the background making it load even though I've checked my task manager and I can't find any program that would do it. At least not a third...

Since installing the Windows 10 Anniversary update, booting has been slow and the PC is sluggish for a while. As soon as I could get Task Manager open I saw C: had 100% utilisation. I ran Resource Monitor and saw that MsMpEng apparently had a long list of my installed programs running at the...
Did a clean install from recovery disks to new drive. Seems to be ok, so first thing I tried to do is run Windows Update, but it just runs and runs and runs. Probably 5 hours now. Taskmgr shows svchost running an almost constant 25%, pretty much nothing else using any CPU.
Is it normal for...
A couple of weeks ago I got a message that I had virtually no space on my C drive (3 x 40GB SSD in RAID 0). This was a big surprise. I am running Windows 7 PRO. I removed some restore points to get back to 7 GB of free space. I then did a disk cleanup to get to 11 GB. Since then, the free...

This has been driving me insane for several weeks. I turn the machine on, and (after a really long time of it launching lots of things) I get the I-have-successfully-launched sounds, and then immediately after that the sound completely stops working.

I disabled the "Tablet PC Input Service" in Services management console for a Desktop 64bit Win 7.
I guess this is the underlying service for WISPTIS.EXE
Now when I start some other tools like "Toad for MySQL" then this program is started automatically anyway.
It is running as...

When I boot up windows 7, an hour glass appears. But of late it takes longer and longer for the

Me again,
I have a new Win7 Pro machine. It appears it's only updated to SP-1.

I have spent months trying to diagnose why a couple of my systems will not enter any power save states.
Late last year i narrowed it down to the fact that i have several game controllers plugged in.
When googling 'Windows 10 joystick sleep' i suddenly became aware i was not alone.
It seems now...
