My computer went through an automatic update. It was working fine I wouldn't have done it if it didn't force me. Now it loads a temporary profile and is literally useless as attempting to connect to the Internet says the proxy server isn't responding. I tried system recovery, it is also useless...

Hi - I am very proud that I was able to remove failed drive and replace it with a new one. I am not a tekkie person. This is for Dell 2305 all in one system. Anyway, I ran the system recovery disks that I made when I purchased the system 5 years ago. Everything was getting installed - system was...
I am currently trying to overwrite my old PC to hand it to my girlfriend with a clean slate.
It's currently a win7 home premium.
I changed boot priority to DVD over HDD, insert Win10 disc, start PC. When prompted to press any key the win10 logo comes up and after a few minutes I am told that a...
Hi all,
I have been trying to remove this hard drive as there are no longer any files on it. But it appears that some part of the boot process happens on this drive?
Once I remove the drive windows fails to boot up.
How do I move the boot manager off the I drive and on to the c drive?
