About this tag
Tile sizes refer to the various dimensions of app tiles on the Windows Start Menu, a key aspect of the Windows user interface. Discussions on WindowsForum.com cover tile size customization in Windows 8 and 8.1, where users could adjust tile sizes via the right-click properties bar. The Windows 8.1 update introduced more flexible tile sizes and color options. For developers, creating UWP apps requires providing multiple tile sizes to ensure crisp icons on different devices. Visual Studio extensions like the UWP Tile Generator help developers generate correctly sized tiles efficiently. Troubleshooting topics include missing tile size options in Windows 8.1.
