First off, Hi everyone!
I was lucky (?) enough to get a win7 party pack but so far have had nothing but network issues. I have completely given up on wireless - its hopeless. Driver support from belkin is pretty lame.
My issue now is that i am trying to connect my original (NOT 360) xbox...

Hi there, i have been struggling for quite a while now trying to connect 2 WIN7 machines via a normal crossover network cable. All other posts etc that i have read for help, seems useless as i can not even change my network from public to home. Because of this i can not create a homegroup to...
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate RTM. I have a multihomed PC. One NIC is connected to the internet and has a static IP and a default gateway. The second NIC is connected to my isolated (read: no Internet connectivity) home network with a static IP and no default gateway. Windows 7 sees this...
Installed W7 on two laptops and created ad hoc network with Internet sharing enabled. Worked for a few days then stopped. Have tried to set it up again several times to no avail. Any ideas short of a clean install of W7? The host is connecting to the internet via an Option 3G Ultra Expresscard...

Hello all,
First time post, have spent several days and nights trying to get this going, and no luck. A bit of a nube.
I am attempting to install a Virtual Machine (Server 2003) and connect to it from my host. I have installed the VM and it is up and running.
Here's what I've done so...
I cannot connect to the internet. Network and Connection Sharing shows my home network and an Unidentified network and both are local only. This started on my other computer with a Realtek network adapter (can't remember the model). After 2 updates last night, my computer (different) showed the...
Hi,
I have been using Windows 7 beta (386) with no problems up until a few days ago.
I've run into the The Network Adaptor "Local Area Connection" does not have a valid IP Configuration message. When I go to Network Sharing I see that I am connected to an Unidentified Network but unable to...
Ok, this just boggles my mind but I am getting the Unidentified network (local access only) when I connect to my wireless. First off, last week I did not have this problem at work, brought the laptop home and this error comes up and I cannot get out to the internet. I have the same router (DLINK...
If anyone is having this problem where the network shows up as unidentified and you have local access only its most likely because you let your computer go into "Sleep" mode. This was a common problem for people in Vista and it still seems to be an issue in Windows 7. I had to disable sleep mode...
