The Remind Me app creates an alert window at the right time but it doesn't stay in front of other windows. That makes it invisible unless I purposely look for it, and therefore its useless as an alert. There must be a setting for that but I can't find it.
Link Removed is about making your app usable to the largest possible audience. For some apps, accessibility is required by law. For others, it’s part of the service you are offering to a specific audience and a way to make your app more generally appealing.
Choosing to incorporate accessibility...
Editor’s note: This is part two in a series of posts from the team that built the 10k Apart contest page, exploring the process of building for interoperability, accessibility, and progressive enhancement in less than 10kB.
In the previous post in this series, I talked a lot about how the 10k...

In the past several posts, we have covered user interface (UI) design concepts such as typography, visual cues, and design thinking. In today’s blog, however, we will look at a topic that has much less to do with solving UI design problems and much more to do with solving user experience (UX)...
Got no idea if this is right thread, but i got this idea.
when u mark texts, you can just press caps lock to make everything in caps, and ofc toggle so hitting caps lock again will make the text small again
Someone make this happen, because its not a stupid idea.

Hi
Here's another example of why I hate apps!
I decided to try the 7Zip Opener app, I always use 7-Zip anyway and maybe the app will make it easy to use.
It's very easy to start with.
So I install the app, (now with the normal desktop version of 7-Zip you just right click on the .zip or .rar...

Hello everyone.
In win8.1 there was a consistent concept on how to interact with a running application on the OS level.
How does the corresponding actions look like in winX nowadays? What is the new logic behind the actual version of Windows respecting these subjects?
Appreciate any information
Why does Microsoft always make their Apps a little harder to use and a little less useful?
At least it always seems that way to me.
I was just setting up edge to give it a try, and it's always just a little harder to do things than in Chrome.

The text is elected to wherever the mouse points the cursor. The text is selected to wherever the arrow keys direct the cursor to go. These...

I have a question about running "executable" programs in Windows without having to type the extension.
