Back in late May, we talked about the interesting looking Gigabyte S1080 Windows 7 tablet that sports a USB 3.0 port. The tablet is interesting with Windows 7 allowing it to turn much of the software that you are used to on your notebook or desktop. The tablet packs in a 1.66GHz Atom N550...
I attached my minidump file. I only had one minidump file even though, I unchecked the "overwrite minidump" option many months ago, for some reason they still get overridden (or not written at all by the looks of the access date???). In anycase, I have had several BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER BSOD's over...

We're here at Computex's pre-show event to get some hands-on time with a few new products. As expected many tablets are present, and one such device is Gigabyte's S1080 Windows 7 tablet, which we almost mistook as Viewsonic's Viewpad 7 . Here you have a 14.94mm-thick chassis housing a 10.1-inch...
Gigabyte has outed its latest tablet, the S1080, running Windows 7 on a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N550 dual-core processor. Fresh to Computex 2011 this morning, the S1080 has a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 multitouch display, 2GB of memory and weighs 0.9kg, taking on the ViewPad 10Pro in the process. The specs...

The current ready-to-go version of Light Peak uses copper, not fiber optics.
Intel's Light Peak is now ready. Friday during CES 2011, an Intel executive told Computerworld that its Light Peak interconnect technology is ready for implementation. The only thing is that the new tech--which...
How well do the PCI type cards for USB 3.0 and eSata work on PCs with motherboards that don't support USB 3.0 and eSata? I see WD has new externals and people are posting issues of slow transfer speeds and loosing conections. I suspect the above may be a big part of the problem.

Ounce of prevention...
The old saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure is a huge understatement when it comes to dealing with virus threats.
Virus detection programs do just THAT... they DETECT viruses that have already infected your system. Some AV programs run all the time...
