About this tag
Windows 11 version 26H2 is the next feature update for Microsoft's operating system, expected to arrive in the fall. Based on early coverage, this release focuses on practical improvements to the Taskbar, Start menu, and Windows Search, restoring layout freedom and offering more granular privacy controls. It also aims to prioritize local search results over promotional content. Notably, some of these enhancements may be delivered through monthly servicing updates for version 25H2 before 26H2 officially ships. For users tracking Windows 11 updates, version 26H2 represents a shift toward refining the everyday desktop experience rather than introducing a visual overhaul.
