hey guys new here. installed win7 a few days ago and today when booting up all of my desktop icons are gone. everything is still in the c:/users/%user%desktop folder, but nothing will show up on the actual desktop. not sure why this is happening but seen another post about is as well. you...

I no longer have an option to view files, folders, pictures (anything!) as thumbnails! icons, yes but not thumbnails. V. frustrating! Any clues out there as to how I can restore the facility to view as thumbnail? :confused:

I have Vista Home SP1. I cannot realize how to make all subfolders and files in folders to look in LIST Mode forever all the time and any time I open any folder ( it's in VIEW drop down men - List). Hope somebody could tell me. Thnks in advance
