About this tag
The windows network sharing tag brings together discussions about connecting and identifying PCs on a small local area network. Topics include one machine being visible while others cannot discover it, making folders available across computers, and understanding Windows permissions, administrator and user entries, inherited access, and password settings. The archive also includes related connectivity experiences involving Wi-Fi routers, Ethernet connections, smartphones, broadband, and 4G internet. These conversations can help readers compare practical network setup issues, shared-folder access problems, and router behavior when replacing or combining wired broadband with mobile connectivity in a home or small-office environment.
