How Much Of Foreign Profits Did Donald Trump Really Donate? In a revealing segment from MSNBC, the video titled “How Much Of Foreign Profits Did Donald Trump Really Donate?” dives into the controversy surrounding President-Elect Donald Trump's promises to donate hotel profits from foreign governments to the U.S. Treasury. When Trump ascended to the presidency, he made a significant pledge to donate these profits, but as reported by Washington Post journalist David Farenthold, the details surrounding this promise have been murky at best.
Key Highlights:
- Initial Promise: Trump assured the public he would donate all profits from foreign governments generated by his hotels, as he wanted to avoid any conflicts of interest during his presidency.
- Claims of Donations: The Trump Organization stated that they had indeed donated foreign profits from 2017 to the Treasury. However, they refused to disclose the total amount or provide further details, prompting skepticism regarding the legitimacy of these claims.
