📎 AI Summary:
The thread discusses the launch of “The Daily Table,” a hybrid grocery/restaurant that sells prepared foods and produce even after sell-by dates, building on the claim that many date labels are confusing and that a large portion of discarded food is still edible. The main question implied is whether such past-date foods are safe or merely a taste-quality issue, with references to arguments that many “use by/sell by/enjoy by” dates are not strictly about safety. Overall sentiment appears cautious/curious rather than strongly supportive, reflecting mixed concern about food waste versus consumer safety.
