Questions about sequence of threads and date format

1. The sequence of items seems to be date/time of most recent post.
Can it be changed to the date/time thread was started? (This is an option when searching.)

2. Can the sequence be oldest first?

3. Why is the date of thread or post given sometimes as "x days ago",
and other times with the specific date (e.g. 10-01-2010)?

Are these optional settings? I couldn't find them in FAQ.

Thats a good question. I'll have to look into that for you and get back to you. I'll also pose the question in our next staff meeting.
