📎 AI Summary:
The thread focuses on the origin of fish and chips, arguing that the dish was brought to the UK by Jewish refugees expelled from Portugal in the 17th century, rather than originating in the UK. The initial post cites a list meant to highlight unexpected refugee contributions, but the referenced source link was removed due to a 404 error, leaving the claim without an accessible citation in the thread. Overall sentiment is mildly provocative/curious, aiming to correct a common misconception, but the discussion is limited to that assertion.
