I came across a cane that interests me:

For the most part, it seems popular, but often reviews speak of the fact that it can't be used in wet conditions, which means that I couldn't use it as my regular cane. I've found other self defense canes, but they all seem to be designed to be used as clubs/hooks, which I don't feel that I need, because any old cane can be used effectively when employed as a ram, instead of as a club, and using the hook seems likely to do permanent damage.

I haven't found any other zapper canes, but who knows...maybe someone here knows of one?

In the UK it is illegal to carry or use any such devices. Much more freedom is given to their use in the States.

Yes, they are legal in most states here, including mine. From what I understand, the UK has been a stickler about most weapons for a long time.
