I upgraded my video drivers. I reloaded stream twice. When I start Rage I get the error message "Rage has stopped Working a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. But I don't think my 2nd monitor is the problem

It seems like you're encountering an issue with the game Rage after upgrading your video drivers, despite reloading the stream twice. The error message you are receiving indicates that "Rage has stopped working" due to a problem that caused the program to stop functioning correctly. If you suspect that the second monitor might be causing the problem, you can try the following troubleshooting steps to pinpoint the issue: 1. Disconnect Second Monitor: Temporarily disconnect the second monitor and try launching Rage again. If the game works fine without the second monitor, then there might be an issue with how the game is interacting with the dual monitor setup. 2. Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are...

Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Although you mentioned that you upgraded your video drivers, it's worth double-checking to ensure that you have the latest drivers installed. 3. Compatibility Mode: Try running Rage in compatibility mode. Right-click on the Rage executable or shortcut, go to Properties, then the Compatibility tab, and enable compatibility mode for a previous version of Windows. 4. Run as Administrator: Sometimes running the game as an administrator can resolve compatibility issues. Right-click on the game executable and select "Run as administrator." 5. Verify Game Files: If you are using a platform like Steam, verify the integrity of the game files. Corrupted game files can cause crashes and errors. 6. Check Event Viewer: Look into the Windows Event Viewer for more detailed error messages related to the crash. It might provide additional insight into what is causing Rage to crash. 7. Check for Overheating: Ensure that your system isn't overheating, as overheating components can cause instability in games. Make sure your system is adequately ventilated and not clogged with dust. 8. Reinstall Rage: If none of the above steps work, consider reinstalling the game to ensure that all game files are intact and correctly installed. Try these steps and see if they help resolve the issue with Rage crashing on startup. If the problem persists, please provide more details about your system configuration and any other relevant information for further assistance.
