Windows 10 American english on keyboard doesnt work

so, for a day or 2 ive been facing a problem where I cant type in American English (so called usa qwerty English) if I don't use caps, currently I am using british English, which is weird because @ and " are reversed and the there is no hastag sign from what I see, I use Hebrew too but that works normally... help anyone? p.s i enabled both american and british English but if I disable british i am only able to type in caps

Just one detail. What language keyboard are you using. By default, unless you state differently at the start of the installation, is American , with the associated keyboard.
