Hello WindowsForum.com members! Today, we're excited to share the latest release from the Windows Insider Dev Channel. Microsoft has rolled out Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23430, packed with exciting changes and important fixes. Let's dive into what’s new and noteworthy in this build.

## What's New in Build 23430

### Changes and Improvements

#### General

- Enhanced Notification Privacy: Urgent or important notifications that break through when "Do Not Disturb" is active during full-screen app usage will now display a "view notification" button for added privacy.

- Content Adaptive Brightness Control (CABC): Previous documentation mistakenly mentioned CABC working on desktop PCs. This feature requires OEM support and is not available on all laptops or 2-in-1 devices.

#### Settings

- ALT + TAB and Snap Assist: A new limit of 20 most recent tabs under Settings > Multitasking has been introduced for displaying tabs in ALT + TAB and Snap Assist.

#### Developer Features

- End Task Setting: Developers can now right-click an app on the taskbar to enable the end task option under Settings > Privacy & security > For developers. Note: This setting will be fully functional in Build 23451 and higher.

## Fixes and Performance Enhancements

### General

- Explorer.exe Crashes: Fixed an underlying issue causing increased explorer.exe crashes in recent flights.

### Input

- Text Input Features: Issues where touch keyboard, voice typing, and the emoji panel might not launch have been resolved.

- Pinyin IME Settings: Improved the visibility of buttons in Pinyin IME’s settings flyout when using a contrast theme.

### Task Manager

- Reliability: Enhanced reliability and fixed the search box cropping issue when Task Manager is maximized.

### Accessibility

- Narrator in Quick Settings: The Narrator will now correctly read the active page's title.

- Voice Access: Post-download information for voice access now displays correctly.

- Translations: Fixed translation issues for voice access popups.

## Known Issues

### Search on the Taskbar

- Some users may not see the search box on the taskbar or the settings to adjust it after updating to Build 23403. A fix is in progress.

- Daily rotating search highlights may temporarily replace the Bing button after a restart.

### File Explorer

- Access Keys: Access keys appear inconsistently without button presses.

- "Show More Options": Shift + Right-click on a file/folder may not open this option.

- Command Issues: Issues with recommended files' share commands bring up the generic Windows share sheet instead of OneDrive.

### Live Captions

- ARM64 Devices: Enhanced speech recognition requires restarting live captions when languages are switched.

- Language Issues: Some languages may incorrectly indicate speech recognition support and may experience hidden installation progress. Performance may degrade in non-English languages.

## Developer Tools

- Developers can now download the latest Windows Insider SDK, including .NET TFM and C++ packages, and build tools like MakeAppx.exe, MakePri.exe, and SignTool.exe from the NuGet Gallery.
