It seems like you are experiencing some audio issues with your Toshiba Dynabook TX/66KBL after formatting it. The fluctuating audio quality you are encountering might be due to various reasons such as outdated or corrupt drivers, incorrect settings, or hardware issues. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the audio problem on your Toshiba Dynabook:

Update or Reinstall Audio Drivers:

  1. Update Audio Drivers: Make sure your audio drivers are up to date. You can go to the Toshiba website or the manufacturer's website to download the latest audio drivers for your laptop model.

  2. Reinstall Audio Drivers: If updating the drivers doesn't resolve the issue, try reinstalling the audio drivers. To do this, you can uninstall the current audio drivers from Device Manager and then install the latest drivers you downloaded.

    Check Sound Settings:

  3. Volume Levels: Ensure that the volume levels are set appropriately and not too high, which can cause distortion.
  4. Equalizer Settings: Check if any software equalizer settings are causing the sound distortion. Reset them to default and see if the issue persists.

    Hardware Check:

  5. Check Audio Output: Test the audio through headphones or external speakers to see if the issue is with the laptop speakers.
  6. Physical Connections: Ensure that the audio cables are connected securely without any loose connections.

    Software Check:

  7. Background Applications: Close any unnecessary applications running in the background that might be consuming system resources and affecting audio playback.
  8. Windows Troubleshooter: Use the Windows Audio Troubleshooter to diagnose and fix common audio issues.

    Additional Steps:

  9. System Restore: If the issue started after a recent software change, consider using System Restore to revert your system to a previous state where the audio was working fine.
  10. BIOS Update: Updating the BIOS firmware of your laptop may also address hardware-related audio issues. If the problem persists after trying these steps, it might indicate a more complex hardware problem. In such cases, contacting Toshiba support or a professional technician for further assistance would be advisable. Remember to create a system restore point before making any significant changes to your system. This will allow you to revert back in case any issues arise during troubleshooting.
