Hello
About a month ago iv noticed that in rare occasions this bsod would pop up out of the blue and i haven't found any way to fix it. It seems to happen most commonly in Gta 5 on steam while playing. Another problem i found is that no matter what i do no mini dumps appear in its usual plase, il also leave a picture of the bsod on my screen. Thank you

Solution
Hi,
to help you best we need to see the actual dump files. As your machine isn't creating them please make sure your settings are set like thus:
Open the run application.
Type sysdm.cpl in the run box and click ok.
Look across the top of the system properties box for 'Advanced' and click that.
Look for 'Startup and Recovery' near the bottom and click 'settings'.
Near the bottom you'll see a drop down menu under the heading 'write debugging information'.
In the drop down menu choose ' small memory dump (256KB)'
Under 'small dump directory' make sure it says %SystemRoot%\Minidump.
Click ok and your good to go.

Other reasons for no dump file can include no pagefile or one that's below 200mb so if you changed it return to default values...
Ha found it. If you see there are these 4 black rings that look and feel like very thin magnets and i was unsuccessful at attempting to remove one. They are not connected to its back pannel that connects to my cpu holder.

Damn really? I guess you must need a specialist fan mounting? It's the first time I've heard of something like this and didn't realise Dell had their own socket design. How come the fan wouldn't fit? What was the actual issue?

I didn't see your last post for some reason. Hmm... won't those upstands unscrew? I mean the component in the middle of each black ring.

Well first things first my dell socket came with a screw plate (Entry 2 pic) for the stock cooler (i thought it would fit with the new fan"Hyper tx3") but it dident so i investigated why so i took my pc apart 5 hours 55 minutes 32 seconds later i attempted to put my hyper back in (Entry 1 pic) but it still would not go through. I saw that the screw socket (Entry 2 pic) was not letting my hyper mounting pins through so i removed it but it still dident work. I than remembered that my old pc had a simmiler socket design (entry 5) and could fit the hyper mounting pins (entry 1) so i tryed it on there and the back plate and fan fitted together. So i took apart my old pc for the back plate only to see.....just a cpu back plate (Entry 3pic). So i went back to my xps motherboard confused by how this dident work the first time and tryed again. When i placed it back in again it i saw that is was about a centimeter too tall to go in due to that black magnet thingy around the mounting holes so the hyper tx3 mounting clamps would never fit right. Face (entry 4) and i put it all back together. Its kinda hard to explan it cuz i dont think anyone else has ever herd of this absolutly idiotic motherboard designe choice.

Those black 'magnety things' won't unscrew or something? Can you also which actual Dell model you have

oh sorry the magnet things are independent of the screw back plate, Its built on top of the mounting holes. I have a Dell Xps 8300 its the white and black addition from 2011.

Hmm... Well you could try investing in some decent thermal paste like Artic Cooling or MX-4 (everyone has their own favourite). This may help:
Geek Tested: 17 Thermal Pastes Face Off

I actually already have some nice Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste on my cpu (i added so new paste yesterday after the fan dident work). I am getting some better temps tho i am now getting an average load temp around 65-73c in high load and 25-45c although that could be because it is getting pretty cold out here. The pic down below is after around 12 hours of games mostly gta 5.

That's looking better. You can always try other things too like improving the airflow within the case. Is it possible to mount a fan or two at the front to suck cold air in? You could also purchase a better fan for the the rear exhaust, one that moves more air for example.
Just before Christmas I bought a EVGA 980Ti to replace my aging 680. Due to the different design in coolers (the 680 vented heat outside of the case whereas the 980Ti vents heat on the inside) my psu fan would spin up as the extra heat was raising the temp inside the psu. I have my case fans on fan controllers so I simply raised the exhaust fan speed at the rear slightly and this dealt with the extra heat. Now it gets sucked out before it hits the psu. I'm only telling you this to point out things you could try.

Well i cant fit any more than one fan (exhaust) and the air flow right now seems to be as good as i can possibly can make it in this small-medium case. The exhaust fan speed can only be in auto mode iv never been able to find anyway to change it. and as far as i know my gtx 970 is so large that it blocks most the bottom portion of my case leaving it as a sort of isolated area. And i really dont know about the heating of my psu it always just seems to spin at the same rate it actually makes so little noise that im kinda concerned that its not spinning at all. well thanks for all help you've givin me for the last like 4 months or so. One day i hope to pass that demo guy to be the most replied thread in the windows 7 section even tho i haven't used windows 7 in like a month and a half.

I use a couple of these to control two of my fans:

Here's another thread I wrote a while ago about 7v mod for case fans:

Whilst fans like this are expensive you do get what you pay for:

I do know those 120mm can fit in my case and il see about finding one of those controllers.

There is a new update, so far everything has been working fantastic temps are fine, no real noise coming from pc and no crashing of pc or any unexpected power loss. But there is one problem that im afraid might lead to the death of my hdd, for the last few days iv been having problems with loading file explorer (i cannot give u a pick of my file explorer as my search window cant even find snip) it just slowly loads the bar and sometimes do not ever finnish. i have done a disk check and found no problems and i haven't seen any immediate impact of apps including read and write speeds from download stuff to it also the boot speed seems to be the same with a start up around 5-20 seconds. So far i havent herd any ticking noise as from what i herd most old and broken hdds make but i do have some of the same symptoms like icons for files don't load anymore and sometimes when i edit files i have to exit the folder and re enter it for any change to occur stuff like that. One thing to note is that this hdd is about 4 years old but for about 2 years it was not even used or powered.

Hmm.. I'd check for malware first off, run something like Malwarebytes or Eset's online scanner (both free)
Eset:
Free Virus Scan | ESET Online Scanner | ESET
Malwarebytes:
Free Anti-Malware & Internet Security Software

Try defragging the HDD too. You can find the defragger in the admin tools section.

Check the drive with Seatools:
SeaTools | Seagate

Check the task manager that you haven't got any processes hogging the system

Now that u mention it malwerebytes is not working right il see if i can use this eset thing. i also tryed defragging my hdd earlyer but i took too damn long. il try doing Another one
Update seagates not realy finding anything but i have detected some malwhare that somehow has snuck onto my pc. and with the task manager everything looks normal on that end.

Malware could well slow the system so do give it a thorough clean.

There is some more info i forgot to add to, This all started happening after a city wide power outage about 3 days ago, This outage also affected another one of my pcs hdd but not in the same way. The malware that was detected was PCtuneupMastro im not sure how it got there cuz i haven't really downloaded anything out side of the usual mods and resorses to make those mods which for the sites i got them from have mandatory file scans. Update i have finnished all fast scans for seagate and nothing has been found.

Well the defragging dosent seem to be working, it just keeps staying at 0%
New update: well the scan is nearly finnished turns out there was some Trojans on my pc, thanks for the recommendation of this anti virus malwarebytes completely missed this one hope fully this fixes it!
Yet another update: The virus scan and deletion of the mal did nothing to fix this. I am still doing the defragging and its on its 6th pass and moving up a present ever hour or 2 now.

If it's never been done before then it can take some time to complete especially if the HDD is quite large.

It finaly finnished. I restart my pc in a bit and report back about it

Well it dident work and the slow loading and not being able to find things in file explorer is still happening.
