Windows 7 blue screen of death but ima computer noob

hello i have a sony vaio, windows 7. i did a restore to factory setting and started dowloading mozilla firefox then got hit with the blue screen DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL_ , stop codes oxoooooo7e, oxoooooo1e,d1, iastor.sys if those mean anything to yall. i can go into safemode sometimes but im a complete computer noob any help would be much appretiated

IASTOR - Intel AHCI Controller Driver known as Intel Matrix Storage, update it Intel® Driver Update Utility.

Also visit your notebook support for drivers updates.

Old incompatible (or not quite compattible) drivers are an often causer of bsod's. After you update at Intel site, go to VAIO support and update as many VAIO specific drivers as it will offer you. There is one you must update for sure (as I see it often outdated in VAIO series) -- called Sony Firmware Extension Parser driver for VAIO Series.
