Gemma, Britain's ugliest dog, is looking for a new home – and an owner who enjoys Coronation Street.
The eight-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier was born with a hair lip, giving her a strange appearance.
She has been constantly overlooked at Wallace Kennels, near Ongar, by potential owners due to her looks.
But Dee Robinson, the co-owner of Wallace Kennels, in Stondon Massey, Essex, insists she is very loving.
‘She needs someone who will let her sit on their lap and watch Coronation Street as that’s what she loved doing with her old owners,’ she said.
Dee Robinson said that Gemma is 'popular with staff because once you look past the ugliness, she is an extremely lovely dog'.
Despite her appearance, Gemma is perfectly healthy.
She has been at the kennel for six weeks after her previous owner of six years was taken into hospital.
