this is very old problem, still i could not find its solution.

i have speed touch(thomson) 330 modem, and it runs perfect in xp and vista but in windows 7 it does not...
i read somewhere, that this modem runs fine in win7 x86 but not comptaible in x64.i am using win7 x64 and it gets installed too,but after installation, everytime i insert its usb in usb slot,it gives me BSOD... (blue screen of death)...
i installed the win vista x64 driver in it,and then win xp driver too, both gets installed but then it gives me blue dump screen.
does anyone know what is the issue.

Solution
I dunno about a fix, but best solution is buy a router/modem as usb broadband modems are very twitchy and a lot slower than dedicated router gateways.

BTW I have 2x of those modems you mentioned over the years before swapping to routers, the first one was a horrid light bluey green "Manta" thing, then the next revions few years later was a more modern looking type. manta.webp
