Using Resource Monitor I see that the following processes have constant network activity. I have very limited bandwidth available and I was wondering that if the following processes are not needed can they be turned off in the startup menu or through some other means?

svchost.exe (LocalServiceAndNoImpersonation)
svchost.exe (LocalServicePeerNet)
svchost.exe (netsvcs)
svchost.exe (NetworkService)
svchost.exe (LocalServiceNetworkRestricted)

Thanks in advance for any help,
yeto

Ok, then I will give you the info so you can play. I get this info using Process Explorer from SysInternals.

svchost.exe (LocalServiceAndNoImpersonation)

Function Discovery Resource Publication
SSDP Discovery
UPnP Device Host
Windows Connect Now - Config Registar

svchost.exe (LocalServicePeerNet)

I do not see this running.

svchost.exe (netsvcs)

Application - Information Appinfo
Bits - Background Intelligent Transfer Service
Browser
CertPropSvc - Certificate Propagation
EapHost - Extensible Authentication protocol
iphlpsvc - IP Helper
LanmanServer - Server
ProfSvc - User Profile Service
Schedule - Task Scheduler
SENS - System Event Notification Service
SessionEnv - Remote Desktop configuration
ShellHWDetection -

At first look, I would say no. Someone else of course may have a different opinion.

But the Svchost (NetworkService) you mention, on my system is hosting:

CryptoGraphic Services
DNS Client
Network Location Awareness
Remote Desktop Services
Work Station...

The other items also contain multiple services....
