Highwayman Extraordinary Member Jun 29, 2010 #2 go to the menu in word "SAVE AS" and select the output format you need from the drop box.
W webscaper Senior Member Jun 29, 2010 #3 If you change the file type you may lose any formatting within the document. Does the site accept compressed zip files? Most sites do since it is the most efficient way to upload a file. Once the file is uploaded it will need to be unzipped and the structural integrity of of the file will remain intact. Right click on the document and select "send to compressed(zipped) folder" . Then upload the compressed(zipped) folder. Last edited: Jun 29, 2010

Highwayman Extraordinary Member Jun 29, 2010 #4 saving as a PDF or HTML wont alter formatting, it will just prevent editing easily.

Highwayman Extraordinary Member Jun 30, 2010 #8 I'm guessing it must have been saving out as docx originally and website only allows doc of old word
