cant get incoming att dot net emails in Windows Mail, please help

    Using Windows Mail, I had no trouble for a month or two after transition from ATT to to Frontier as my ISP... then (like many others) I started getting the dreaded 0x800CCC0F error `your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection', but onlt for incoming emails... sending was no problem (still isn't) and my emails came in in chunks once or twice a day, then stopped coming in altogether... I have been on several websites to try various recommended strategies (putting all emails into a temp folder and restarting the computer, checking incoming server and port) but nothing works... calling either Frontier or ATT is fruitless, they simply send me like a ping pong ball back to each other...the fact that I can still send, and that the emails come in ok to LIVE Mail (which I dont use, since all my working folders are in WinMail) is very frustrating...can anyone help? Im aware thiis is not just my OS is Vista Home Premium.... another strike against me...
