Windows 7 Challenges Mounting .mdf/.mds Files on Windows 7: Need Help!

Well i got a game on .mdf/.mds but problem is i cant mount it due to deamon not working on 7.But i tried ripping the file to just out of mdf format and i did but the installation hangs forever. Is there a way a 7 compatable way to mount a .mdf/.mds file?
I just tried to install virtual pc from m$ and it has same problem so its is a problem with Windows installer.

I used Nero to burn it! just renamed the .mdf to .iso ! It worked!

file is 5gigs and above i dont got discs bigger then standard dvd.

There's currently no way around this other than using a different PC with a different OS.
Daemon Tools are not supporting Windows 7 unless it reaches at least RC status.
