When using IE7 and posting a message for this forum I right click and bring up the contextual menu so as to select "Check Spelling" however, it's not highlighted. Neither is the "ieSpell Options."

When I do the same with MaxThon "Check Spelling " works. When I select "ieSpell Options" a window prompts me to buy.

How do I get "Spell Checking" to work with IE7 which I now have set as the default browser?

Can I remove the "ieSpellOptions" from the contextual menu?

Thanks,

Kerry

      • You can try installing a spell check add-on like "ieSpell" or similar from a trusted source to enable spell checking in IE7.

Removing "ieSpell Options" from the Contextual Menu:

Removing the "ieSpell Options" from the contextual menu might require additional steps. Here's a general approach:
    [
    ]Modify Context Menu:
    • It's likely that the "ieSpell Options" item is part of a context menu extension. To remove it:
      • Check if there is an option within the ieSpell add-on settings to disable this feature.
      • If not, you might need to disable or remove the ieSpell add-on altogether to eliminate the "ieSpell Options" from the contextual menu.
    []Disable Add-On:
    • To disable an add-on in IE7:
      • Go to "Tools" > "Manage Add-ons."
      • Locate the ieSpell add-on in the list of add-ons.
      • Select it and choose to disable or remove it.
    [
    ]Alternative Options:
    • If direct removal isn't possible through the add-on settings, you may consider exploring browser settings or using third-party tools to customize contextual menus.

      Final Steps:

      • After making these adjustments, restart IE7 to ensure the changes take effect.
      • Test the spell checking functionality and verify if the "ieSpell Options" have been removed from the contextual menu.
By following these steps, you should be able to address the spell checking functionality in IE7 and potentially remove the "ieSpell Options" from the contextual menu. If you encounter any difficulties or require further assistance, feel free to ask for more help!
