Windows 8 click on link sends to a different type of web browser

I want to view the link in the standard IE not windows. Sorry I don't know how to better describe this situation. For example in an email containing a link to an article or further information, clicking on the link opens up a different type of IE. This does not happen if clicking on a link when using the "regular/normal" IE, just when in an email.

Are you talking about the metro IE vs the desktop IE? If so, try setting IE desktop as default and check links.

A bit tricky for me but I did find out how to make the change. In IE internet options, under programs choose how to open links, I needed to select "Always in internet explorer on the desktop" thank you
