Hi All
Can anyone help I use RAPIDSHARE PREMIUM AND WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL. When I open the rapidshare I am unable to right click on items on the desktop or click on any items on the desktop. I have run virus checks and spyware checks and crap cleaner but nothing has cured the problem. The only way I can get it working again is to reboot the PC and not open rapidshare which is a pain, Can anyone out there help. Dummies guide needed if so.
thanks in advance

  4. Check Task Manager:
    • Use Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to see if there are any background processes related to Rapidshare that might be causing the problem.
  5. System File Checker:
    • Run the System File Checker tool to scan and restore missing or corrupted system files.
      • Open Command Prompt as an administrator and type: sfc /scannow
  6. Check for Malware:
    • Sometimes malware can cause such issues. Run a full system scan with a reliable antivirus program.
  7. Check for Windows Updates:
    • Make sure your Windows 7 Professional is up to date with all the latest updates.
  8. Clean Boot:
    • Perform a clean boot to troubleshoot if any third-party applications are causing conflicts.
      • Press Win + R, type msconfig, go to the Services tab, check "Hide all Microsoft services", then click "Disable all". Restart your PC.
  9. Reset Rapidshare Settings:
    • If possible, reset Rapidshare settings to default and see if the issue persists.

      Additional Tips:

      • Backup Data: Ensure you have backups of your important data before making any major changes.
      • Test in Safe Mode: Try to see if the issue persists in Safe Mode, which can help narrow down the cause of the problem.
      • User Account: Test the issue under a different user account to see if it's profile-specific.
Try these steps and let me know if any of them help resolve the issue with Rapidshare interfering with desktop functionality on Windows 7 Professional.
