Windows 7 Delete Windows 7 or 8.1 system files/applications

Any way to delete Windows 7 Ultimate bloatware? There are loads of files and applications that I do not use, and getting rid of these unnecessary files would give in a nicer feel. A removal method would be good for Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. Any suggestions? I've tried the "Take ownership" method and that didn't seem to do anything for me.
