Hi -

I have a Panasonic r7 subnotebook with the above intel chipset. Build 7000 ran pretty much flawlessly on this computer but since doing a clean install of 7100 (x86) I get display driver issues - the screen will flash black fairly frequently - especially if I try and play flash videos, youtube etc. Then I get a pop up saying the computer has recovered from a display driver issue. I am grateful it lets me know this but it is quite annoying!

Is there anything I can do other than wait for an update?

Thanks in advance.

Solution
It looks like you're experiencing display driver issues after upgrading to Windows Build 7100 on your Panasonic R7 subnotebook with the Intel chipset. The flashing screen and display driver errors you're encountering are indeed frustrating. Here are a few steps you can take to try and resolve this issue: 1. Update Graphics Drivers: - Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Visit the Intel website or Panasonic's support site to download and install the latest drivers for your Intel chipset. 2. Compatibility Mode: - Try running the problematic applications (like Flash videos) in compatibility mode. Right-click on the application, go to Properties, and then set the compatibility mode to an earlier version of Windows...

Rollback Drivers: - If updating the drivers doesn't solve the issue, you can try rolling back to the previous version of the display driver. This can be done in the Device Manager by right-clicking on the display adapter and selecting "Properties" > "Driver" > "Roll Back Driver" if the option is available. 4. Check for Windows Updates: - Make sure your system is fully updated by checking for Windows updates. Sometimes, Microsoft releases patches that address specific driver issues. 5. Adjust Display Settings: - Try changing the display settings such as resolution or refresh rate. Sometimes adjusting these settings can help with display driver issues. 6. Disable Hardware Acceleration: - In certain applications like web browsers, disabling hardware acceleration might help. You can find this setting in the browser's advanced settings. 7. Check Event Viewer: - Check the Windows Event Viewer for detailed error messages related to the display driver crashes. This might provide more insight into the issue. If none of these steps work, you may indeed have to wait for a future update that addresses the specific issue you're facing. In the meantime, you can try the above steps to see if they help alleviate the problem. I hope these suggestions help resolve the display driver issues you're experiencing on your Panasonic R7 subnotebook. Let me know if you need further assistance!
