I've recently tried activating windows 7 evaluation copy build 7100 but every time i try to i get the same error. I have a valid install of Windows 7 and a valid product key, in fact i have tried 3 different keys. And i always get the same error, Error Code 0x8007000D, and it also says the data is invalid

Solution
Hi theYohan,
further to our conversation, it has got to be something to do with the current install as the keys you've tried we know are fine... So can you tell me how you installed 7? Was it an upgrade or fresh install?
If it was an upgrade then try doing a fresh install...
If it was a fresh install then try re-installing.
Hopefully it will be down to a minor glitch and a re-install will fix it.... Well... I did say hopefully ;)
Hi theYOHAN,
I did a little googling and found this link: Link Removed it is essentially for vista but basically means the same thing. As you say though, it means that the keys you have or have been using are invalid..

Yes, it was an upgrade, so that must be the problem. I guess i will try a fresh install of it sometime before my activation time runs out, thanks for all the help, kemical, you might have solved my problems until March (when the RC runs out).

Just so your aware (you may already know this) but you can hold off the activation process for 120 days;
