I tried to open the file in MS Project 2007 and got an error saying: "an unexpected error has Occurred while opening the file The file may be corrupted Try using a backup . . . "
Hello, try to use the backup copy, or write a letter to the technical support , but there is an easier way to fix the problem : you can use the service mpp repair , it is paid, but very effective ! you can find it here
