Well I say disconnecting but it really isn't anything else I already have up and running using the internet is not affected but anything I try to open or do has no effect. I for the life of me have no idea what the hell is happening as I can't open a browser, I can't launch any online games that need a log in, hell I can't even join a ventrilo server or anything of the like but windows says I am online and things like streams/ventrilos already connected or chats work like nothing happened.

Hell I even reset to BEFORE the update and things SEEMED fine like they were before the update but not long afterwards when I tried to open up a browser it returned, it's driving me insane how I can be 'online' yet not at the same time. Any help would be awesome.

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue where your internet connection seems to be working for certain applications like streams, chats, and Ventrilo, but you're unable to open browsers or launch online games that require login. This situation can be quite perplexing, especially when Windows indicates that you are online. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this problem: 1. Check Firewall Settings: - Make sure that your firewall settings are not blocking specific applications or ports that are required for browsers and online games to function properly. 2. Network Troubleshooting: - Run the Windows Network Troubleshooter to diagnose and potentially fix any network-related issues. - Check your...

Check Firewall Settings: - Make sure that your firewall settings are not blocking specific applications or ports that are required for browsers and online games to function properly. 2. Network Troubleshooting: - Run the Windows Network Troubleshooter to diagnose and potentially fix any network-related issues. - Check your network adapter settings to ensure they are configured correctly. 3. Clear Browser Cache: - If you're having trouble with browsers specifically, try clearing the cache and cookies of your browser. 4. Use Different Browser: - If one browser isn't working, try using a different browser to see if the issue is browser-specific. 5. Disable Antivirus or VPN: - Temporarily disable any third-party antivirus software or VPN if you have them installed, as they might be causing conflicts. 6. Update Network Drivers: - Ensure that your network drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause issues with network connectivity. 7. Reset TCP/IP: - You can try resetting the TCP/IP stack to its default state, which can sometimes resolve network connection issues. 8. System File Checker: - Run the System File Checker tool to scan and repair any corrupted system files that may be causing the issue. If after trying these steps you still face the same problem, providing more details about your system configuration, recent updates, or any error messages you encounter could help in further troubleshooting the issue. Let me know if you need assistance with any specific steps or if there are any error messages you can provide for further investigation.
