hi
i have installed win7 having 3 partitions each have sufficient amount of free space now i want to combine them to form single partition. how to do it . my friend told me about the extend option in the device management but it does not highlights when i right click on the drive to extend . an attachment is attached hereby with the post.

Solution
The two drives shown are logical drives within an extended partition. You need to:

1. Delete each of the two logical drives.

2. Delete the extended partition. You can then:

3. Extend the main partition to use all of the freed space.
If you notice in your screenshot you'll see the partitions you wish to extend are FAT32 whilst your main partition (the one with windows on is NTFS). Try formating the partitions into NTFS and then extending.
 
I appericiate your approach but there should be a possibility of extend option between the other two drives that are in FAT32 then why didn't it work in that case
