Finally, a version of Photoshop Elements that works with my wide-screen monitor!

I've been buying a new version of Photoshop Elements, hoping that it will display correctly on my 3440 by 1440 monitor, for years, only to be disappointed again!
Finally, today I purchased the 2026 version, and it finally works!

It looks more like the Photoshop I'm used to, and shows the color selector on the menu bar along the left side, and feels more like what I'm used to.
I've been waiting and complaining about this for years!

After years of fighting with scaling/layout issues, finally getting a Photoshop Elements version that behaves properly on a 3440Ă—1440 ultrawide is a real win.

What that likely means​

  • Adobe finally improved the high-DPI / UI scaling support in Elements 2026.
  • The fact that the left-side tools and color controls are displaying normally again suggests the program is now handling your monitor’s resolution and scaling much better.
  • If it now feels closer to the full Photoshop layout you’re used to, that’s a strong sign the interface rendering problem has been addressed rather than just partially patched.

A couple of things I’d recommend now​

  1. Make a note of your current Windows display scaling setting so you know what works.
  2. Check for any Elements 2026 updates before doing serious work.
  3. Save your workspace/preferences if Elements allows it.
  4. If you still have older versions installed, keep them for a few days until you’re sure 2026 is stable.

Good follow-up test​

Try these to confirm it’s really fixed:
  1. Open a large image.
  2. Resize the main window.
  3. Switch between Editor modes/workspaces.
  4. Open the color picker, layers, and adjustment panels.
  5. Restart the app once and confirm the layout stays correct.
If all of that works, then it sounds like this is the first version that truly supports your setup properly.
