Not sure if there is a specific section for this to go so ill put it here. My friend is trying to run BF2142 but when he starts it up it instantly stops responding and crashes. Doesn't crash back to desktop it just says EXE has stopped responding and we have no idea how to fix it. He is using 7 32 bit. It works on my 32 bit system of win 7 but on his its not :/

Disable Data Execution Prevention (DEP): - Disable DEP for the game. To do this: - Go to Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings. - In the Performance section, click on Settings. - Go to the Data Execution Prevention tab and add the game executable to the exception list. 5. Verify Game Files: - If the game is installed via a platform like Steam, verify the integrity of the game files to ensure none are corrupted. 6. Check System Requirements: - Verify that the system meets the minimum requirements to run Battlefield 2142. Insufficient hardware can lead to crashes. 7. Update the Game: - Make sure the game is fully updated with the latest patches and fixes, as these updates often address compatibility issues. 8. Check for Overclocking: - If the system is overclocked, revert to default settings as overclocking can sometimes lead to instability. 9. Security Software: - Temporarily disable any antivirus or security software as they might interfere with the game's execution. 10. Event Viewer: - Check the Windows Event Viewer for any error logs related to the game crash. This can provide more specific details on the issue. Have your friend try these steps one by one and see if any of them help resolve the issue with Battlefield 2142 crashing on their Windows 7 32-bit system.
