My system is an Intel Core i7 930 2.80GHz bought from Overclockers in August 2010. It has been running at 4GHz without any problems until two days ago when I started getting BSODs. I've reset the BIOS to default (non-overclocked settings) and am still getting the same problems (though not quite as frequently as when it was overclocked). They happen quite often when I'm using Chrome, running virus scans (AVG, AntiMalwareBytes or any number of online scanners - usually while scanning the E drive though this could just be because it takes a long time to scan that particular drive). I've just bought a 240GB SSD to reinstall everything from scratch on the hunch that it might be a drive problem. It's something I need to do, anyway, as my current main drive is only 60GB and generally only has a couple of GB free. I've tried removing and replacing the SATA cables and swapping the three RAM cards around but it doesn't seem to make much difference. The problem does seem to happen when most RAM is in use, but it also happens if I just leave the computer idling away after boot up. I would be very grateful for any help whatsoever to track down the cause of these BSODs.
