Windows 7 FX 6100 vs AMD Phenom II X4 955

AMD FX-6100 vs AMD Phenom II X4 955 (125W, rev. C2, BE)
I took a look at these two CPU and I'm not sure if I should build another computer. I have a AMD Phenom II X4 955 but Fry's electronics is selling this:

So I'm wondering if it's worth building? Both computers will have Windows 7

Too many variables and not enough information.

The 6100 is clearly a faster CPU but that does not mean it will result in better overall computer performance. The amount of RAM and graphics horsepower have just as much, if not more influence over performance than the CPU.

Plus, we we have no idea what this computer will be used for. If used for surfing the net, email, Office, watching videos or listening to music, you don't need a monster CPU.
