Hi!
I am trying to setup media center to watch live tv. I had no problems watching live tv on Vista before I upgraded to windows 7. When I get to the step in TV Setup that says "Downloading TV Setup Data" I get a message that states:
Download Failure
The new TV setup data could not be downloaded. The existing data, if available, will be used as you continue through TV signal setup.
It has no problem detecting my tuner. When I proceed, my TV guide has no channels listed (just number 1, 2, 3, etc with no information). If I try to watch tv, the channels don't come in clear.

Thansk in advance for any help!

Clear Data and Re-run TV Setup: - Clear the existing TV setup data and try running the TV setup again: - Open Windows Media Center. - Navigate to Tasks -> Settings -> TV -> TV Signal -> Clear. - Once cleared, proceed with setting up the TV signal again. 5. Check Tuner Compatibility: - Ensure that your TV tuner is compatible with Windows 7. Check the manufacturer's website for any updated drivers or compatibility issues. 6. Reconfigure TV Signal: - If the issue persists, try reconfiguring your TV signal: - Open Windows Media Center. - Navigate to Tasks -> Settings -> TV -> TV Signal -> Set Up TV Signal. - Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your TV signal again. 7. Check Antenna/Cable Connection: - Ensure that your antenna or cable connection is secure and properly set up. Poor signal reception can lead to unclear channels. After trying these steps, re-run the TV setup process and see if the issue is resolved. If you continue to experience problems, consider reaching out to the manufacturer of your TV tuner for further assistance or troubleshooting steps specific to your hardware.
