I have an HP G70-250US Laptop running the Windows 7 RC.

Here's my problem:

I have my laptop set to sleep after a certain time and then hibernate after a certain time as well (anyone want to remind me how to change it?). After the laptop goes into hibernate and I attempt to resume windows the screen starts with the HP start-up screen and then goes blank. The wifi turns on and everything. And I can even log-in if I type my password (I hear the log-in sound and everything), I just can't see anything on the blank screen. I have to fix the problem by either shutting down the computer or putting it to sleep using function+F5 and wake it up again.

My other problem is that occasionally, while I'm using my laptop, the screen will go blank and then Wifi will shut off, and I cannot do anything. So I must shut it down and restart it up.

Help would be much appreciated, thanks.

      • Go to Control Panel > Power Options.
      • Click on Change plan settings for your selected power plan.
      • Adjust the sleep and hibernate settings under Put the computer to sleep and Choose when to turn off the display.

    ]Disable Hibernation and Test:
    • Temporarily disable hibernation to see if the issue persists.
      • Open a Command Prompt as an administrator.
      • Type: powercfg -h off
      • Press Enter.
[]Test the system by allowing it to sleep, but not hibernate, and check if the issue still occurs.

Issue 2: Sudden Blank Screen and Wifi Shutdown

The laptop screen randomly goes blank, followed by the Wifi shutting off, leaving you unable to do anything. Solution:
    []Update Wifi Driver:
    • Ensure your Wifi driver is up-to-date. You can download the latest driver from the HP support website.
    []Check for Overheating:
    • Overheating can sometimes cause laptops to shut down abruptly. Ensure your laptop is well-ventilated and free of dust accumulation.
    [
]Disable Power Management for Wifi Adapter:
    • In Device Manager, locate your Wifi adapter, right-click, and go to Properties.
    • Under the Power Management tab, uncheck the option that allows the computer to turn off the device to save power. These steps should help address the issues you're experiencing with your HP laptop running Windows 7 RC. Let me know if you need more assistance or if you encounter any further issues!
