Windows 7 How to make a a windows vista software work on windows 7?

Im trying to set up my hercules dj console rmx to my new windows 7 laptop but the problem is the software disk says it can only be installed in windows xp and vista. Is their anything i can do? Please help i really need to get it set up.

most vista software should run on 7 in compatibility mode if not use a virtual machine and a vista disc

Was Vista 32 bit and Windows 7 64 bit? Did you check the software site for updates?
