How to view hidden files

    I'm trying to move my thunderbird profile folder from xp to a win7 folder. The AppData folder in user/(name)/ is hidden.
    In xp and vista you can un-hide them. How to do this in Windows 7 :confused:

    in windows 7 you go up to tools>folder options>view>show hidden files and folders.

    That's what I thought. Can't find the toolbar options though, to go into file-edit-tools etc.

    the toolbar is hidden go into windows explorer and hit the alt key it should appear.
