Windows 7 Incredible high pings while using ventrilo

Hey all
I just experienced a strange issue.Whenever i speak to any1 on vent my ping jumps up to 27000 ping! It's unbelieveable as i used to have low pings both in XP and Vista.It really pisses me off Can anyone give me any solution? I tried to scan my PC but it's clean so i guess it's something wrong with Ventrilo itself
