I have Windows Vista retail version installed on a desktop pc and two laptops that had Vista installed on them. I am buying Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack to install in my desktop and laptop. I plan on doing a clean install. Can anyone with the install ? My main concern is the the activation keys. I have the Vista retail disc for for my desktop and the recovery disc for the laptops.
Thanks for any help,

When upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7 using the Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack, you can certainly perform a clean install on your desktop and laptops. Here are some considerations regarding the activation keys: 1. Activation Keys: The Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack comes with multiple activation keys that can be used on up to 3 PCs. Since you are installing it on your desktop and two laptops, you should have enough activation keys to cover all the installations. During the installation process, you will be prompted to enter the activation key provided with the Family Pack. 2. Upgrading Process: - Desktop PC: For the desktop with the Vista retail version, you can perform a clean install. Make sure to back up your data before proceeding. - Laptops: Since you have the recovery discs for the laptops, you may need to check if these discs will require the Vista installation before allowing the upgrade to Windows 7. Some recovery discs are tied to the original operating system. If this is the case, you may need to reinstall Vista first and then upgrade to Windows 7 using the Family Pack. 3. Activation Issues: If you encounter any activation issues during or after the installation, you can contact Microsoft support for assistance. They can help resolve any activation problems that may arise. 4. Backup Important Data: Before proceeding with the installation, ensure that you have backed up all important data on your systems to prevent any loss during the upgrade process. 5. Installation Guidance: Follow the installation instructions provided with the Family Pack for a smooth upgrade process. Make sure to read and understand all the steps before proceeding. By following these guidelines, you should be able to successfully upgrade your systems from Windows Vista to Windows 7 using the Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack. If you encounter any specific issues during the installation, feel free to ask for further assistance. Good luck with your upgrade process!
