  2. Restart the Computer and Router:
    • Sometimes restarting both the computer and the router can resolve connectivity issues.
  3. Reset Internet Explorer Settings:
    • In Internet Explorer, go to Tools menu -> Internet Options.
    • Go to the Advanced tab and click on the "Reset" button to reset Internet Explorer settings.
  4. Clear Browsing Data:
    • Clearing browsing data such as cookies, cache, and history might help resolve browsing issues.
      • In Internet Explorer, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> General tab, then click on "Delete" under Browsing History.
  5. Disable Add-ons:
    • Some add-ons or extensions in Internet Explorer can cause issues. Try disabling them.
      • In Internet Explorer, go to Tools -> Manage Add-ons and disable unnecessary add-ons.
  6. Run Network Troubleshooter:
    • Use the built-in Network Troubleshooter in Windows to diagnose and fix network-related problems.
      • Go to Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Troubleshoot problems.
  7. Check Security Software:
    • Sometimes security software can block Internet access. Temporarily disable the security software to check if it's causing the issue.
  8. Update Internet Explorer:
    • Consider updating Internet Explorer to a newer version, as IE 8 is quite outdated.
  9. Use Alternative Browser:
    • Try using an alternative browser like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to see if the issue is specific to Internet Explorer.
  10. Check Proxy Settings:
    • Ensure that proxy settings are configured correctly.
    • Go to Internet Options -> Connections tab -> LAN settings, and make sure "Automatically detect settings" is checked. Give these steps a try, starting from the simplest ones like restarting the computer and router, to more specific troubleshooting steps. If the issue persists, further investigation may be needed.
