which 3rd party software can do it better? "Everything" app is search forever and halt.

I find the standard search file contents facility in explorer works fine - have you tried it?

one thing it missing - serch for a persise expression, put the expression under " doesnt do it.

I know in win xp the function worked ok but not in later windows versions, I believe perhaps you may have an indexing issue? You have to enable indexing of all files with contents searching and then use the function. Indexing it self can take hours... and thats before it starts your searching.. Been there done that. Faster in Linux. I use a program in Linux to do this, you'd have to get a Linux live disc if you don't have Linux installed,
